HUMANOIDS AND ANDROIDS

An android is a robot or synthetic organism designed to look and act like a human. "Gynoid" is the feminine form, although "android" is used almost universally to refer to both. Until recently, androids have largely remained within the domain of science fiction, frequently seen in film and television.


Humanoids aren't necessarily robots. Dictionary.com defines a "humanoid" as "having human characteristics or form; resembling human beings." A monkey would be considered a humanoid
outside assistance, adjust strategies based on the surroundings and adapt to new situations)
avoiding harmful situations to people, property, and itself
safe interacting with human beings and the environment
